Thomas Curtin
American
1899-1977
Curtin studied at the Vesper George School of Art, the National Academy of Design, and the Art Students League. Curtin was a member of the North Shore Art Association, the Berkshire Art Association, the Rockport Art Association, and the Southern Vermont Art Association, Curtin specialized in paintings of the New England landscape and coast, notably the Vermont landscape. He often went on painting trips with fellow artists Aldro Hibbard and Emile Gruppe. Thomas Curtin exhibited at the Berkshire Museum, the Rockport Art Association, the Wood Gallery in Vermont, and the North Shore Art Association.
