Michael Mazur

1935-2009

Michael Mazur received a B.F.A. and an M.F.A. from Yale University. A renowned Boston and New England artist --- he was active in Provincetown --- Mazur has exhibited in more than 150 exhibitions, including exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, the Whitney, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston held a retrospective of his graphic work in 2000. He has won awards from the Tiffany Foundation, The National Institute of Arts and Letters, the Guggenheim Foundation and a Distinguished Career award from the Southern Graphics Council. He is represented by the Mary Ryan Gallery in New York and the Barbara Krakow Gallery in Boston.
