Bertha Menzler Peyton

Bertha Menzler Peyton studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and in Paris with Aman-Jean. Menzler Peyton traveled widely during her career, spending a great deal of time in California and Arizona during the early part of the century and later in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Menzler Peyton exhibited at the Paris Salon, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Corcoran Gallery, the National Academy of Design, and the Panama-Pacific Exposition in 1915. Her 1903 painting of the San Franciso Peaks was the first painting purchased by the Santa Fe Railroad.
