Kathan Brown Kathan Brown studied at Antioch College and the Central School of Arts and Crafts in London, specializing in printmaking and etching. Kathan Brown exhibited widely during her career and her work is major public collections including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Brooklyn Museum, and the San Francisco Museum of Fine Art. A key figure in the Bay Area art scene, Kathan Brown founded the Crown Point Press in 1962, the innovative fine art publisher that worked with Diebenkorn, Chuck Close, Wayne Thiebaud, Sol LeWitt, and John Cage, among others. |
