Hazel Ives

1888-1983
Hazel Ives studied at the Museum School in Boston, was a portrait artist whose work appeared on the cover of the Atlantic Monthly, and was later a successful landscape artist in Maine, Cape Cod, and Nantucket. Ives landscapes are almost exclusively done in pastels and are done in an impressionistic style. Her pastels of Nantucket scenes have become highly prized by collectors.
