Charles
Reynolds was born in Kiowa, Oklahoma. He studied at the Art Institute
of Chicago for a brief period of time, but was largely self-taught.
Reynolds settled in Taos, New Mexico in the 1940s, was a founding
member and president of the Taos Art Association, and became
a well-known and respected figure in the Taos art community.
He was a frequent exhibitor at venues in Oklahoma and New Mexico,
including exhibtions at the Philbrook Museum, the Museum of New
Mexico, the Harwood Museum, and the Tulsa Art Museum.
