Angel Botello
was born in Spain, studied in Paris, and moved to the Caribbean
around 1940. He spent time in the Dominican Republic, Haiti,
and Puerto Rico before settling in Puerto Rico in the 1950s.
He became one of the most important Latin American/Puerto Rican
artists of the twentieth century, producing an impressive body
of work consisting of paintings, sculpture, and graphic arts.
