Beverly McIver

Beverly McIver is an important contemporary African-American artist whose work was included in important exhibitions "HairStories," and "Looking Forward, Lookiing Black." Beverly McIver is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, a Radcliffe Fellowship, and a Louis Comfort Tiffany Award. McIver has had numerous Yaddo residencies and is currently on the Board of Directors. In addition, McIver is the subject of an Irving Sandler 2006 monograph, Beverly McIver: Invisible Me, published in conjunction with her exhibition at Kent Gallery in New York. She is currently the Suntrust Endowed Professor of Art at North Carolina Central University. Beverly McIver is the subject of an upcoming exhibition at the North Carolina Museum of Art.
